If you have been baptized as an infant, any "re-baptism" is completely pointless since the original covenantal rite was, is, and will be in effect for your entire life. The baptism was God's sign and seal, not yours.
However, if you believe that your covenantal baptism was ineffective and that you must repent/choose Christ first, a Baptist pastor will be more than happy to help you. He will want to have a talk with you to make sure you know some of the basics of the Christian life, and then schedule what will be a very joyous occasion for you as well as the congregation.
Catholic, Reformed/Presbyterian, and I believe Methodists/Anglican beliefs will not rebaptize.

Why do you want to get baptized first off? If you believe baptism has any power in and of itself, you've been led astray. Baptism is merely symbolic of salvation - the death of the "old man" and the birth of the "new". I like the saying of my old pastor, it's an "outward sign of an inward work". You don't need to be baptized to be a Christian, you're just acknowledging that you've dedicated your life to God by doing so. That being said, I believe it's a good thing to do in your growth as a believer. It also doesn't matter where you get baptized. It could be in a river, a pool, or a baptistry at a church. If you go to a church, ask one of the leaders about it. If you don't and you've accepted Christ as savior, find and ask a fellow Christian. The first step is salvation though.

You're never too old. I knew an 83 year-old woman that got baptized. Different churches will perform the ceremony differently, but I don't know of one that has "too old" age limits.

I don't know what religion you are considering to join, but in order to be a candidate for baptism, you first have to make a personal dedication to God to do his will by prayer and Bible knowledge with meditation on what you have learned from the Bible. That means giving up all the fleshly desires that will corrupt your relationship with God (fornication, adultery, stealing, lying, etc..).

According to the Bible - first you recieve Christ as your Savior then you are Baptised. Any Bible believeing Christian can basptise anyone else once they have established that they are believers.

accept christ and be baptised in the holy spirit, than at a bible believing church you should be baptised through submersion in water to symbolize being buried with christ and being raised in the newness of life to walk with him
