my antivirus is telling me this, what does it mean?

SystemGuard Description: Monitors changes to your Internet Explorer preset URLs to prevent spyware or other potentially unwanted programs from changing your browser settings without your permission.

Should I block the element or not?

thanks

Yes. You can keep this option 'ON'. I suggest that you insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

    http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

If you turn it off, potentially if you visit a "bad site" they could change your internet explorer browser settings to minimum. That means that the site could download a virus or spyware to your computer and you wont even be prompted and you wont even know it happened

Sounds like a feature of McAfee Security Suite. It is a good feature, keep it on.

You should keep that setting "on".

If you don't, you may find that your home page changes, or you'll get rerouted to places you don't want to be.
