will using monitor in dark harm my eyes??

    Look, you go to the cinema and they darken the theatre so you can see what's on the screen. You don't want ANY incident light in that experience. Same for a TV screen, watching FOX, CNN porn or a game. You want bright colors and good contrast. Incident light only interferes with that. My wife was taught when she was a girl (60+ years ago) that you should always have a light on in the room when watching TV. Junk Science! I get as many lights off as I can and enjoy the experience much more. What harm can normal light do to you eyes? If in doubt, ask you opthamologist!

    Definitely...But not with LCD display and projector (cinema) because they won't harm your eyes...
