The best and most fun way is to find a sports fan who is patient and doesnt mind explaining the rules during the game. Try to watch as many games as possible. After you watch the game, watch ESPN's Sportscenter.

They also offer camps and special classes for women who want to learn about football.

If you go to NFL.com they have everything you need. You can go to each team's web sites. They gave the history of football listed as well as all the rules for play. After reading up on some of that just sit back and watch as much as you can on any given Sunday. Starting from noon (central time) till 11 pm. This is truly the greatest game on Earth!!!!

Watching means learning. Just watch games and you'll begin to understand them.

play the game madden any year, on PlayStation, xbox or game cube, it will teach what plays are what and all about the penalties and you gotta watch the games and it won't take long and next year get into a fantasy football game on ESPN.com it's free and that makes it fun
