Do you actually mean: “Disable Windows XP CD Burning?”

If so, here's how you turn off built-in "Windows XP CD Burning" via the Win XP Registry Editor (although this tweak still allows 3rd party burning software such as Nero, etc).

First... To access the Win XP Registry Editor:

Go to Start >Run > Type Regedit (or search for and run Regedit.exe)

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software> Microsoft> Windows> CurrentVersion > Policies > Explorer

Change setting to "NoCDBurning=1" (without quotes!)

Please note: Again, this "tweak" disables built-in XP burning but still allows 3rd party burning software to work (if such programs are installed on your computer, that is...)
