What's the biggest threat to your [way of] life: Foreign Threats; Nanny State; or Bad Personal Habits?

Foreign Threats = terrorists, wars...

Nanny State = a drift toward domestic totalitarian.

Bad Personal Habits = Over-spending/eating/drinking...

Definitely the Nanny State. The latest of which is New York outlawing trans fats. I don't live in N.Y., but you can bet it won't be long b4 other states follow suit.

Foreign threats. The life of an American citizen has changed as never before after 9/11. A few examples will suffice- The way you check in in to a flight- gone are the days you could simply walk in. There are stringent checks and ever changing rules to meet new terrorist threats. If you are wearing a beard, you are inviting trouble. If you wear a head scarf, it is the same. Your personal freedoms are affected by the state intruding in to your privacy and so on.

    Nanny state. Patriot Act.

The government has played on our fears since 9-11 to expand its powers. It attempts to keep us in fear with color "terrorist alert" signals at airports etc.

This government is using the "War on Terror" to essentially create a fascist state.
