    National Eligibility Test - NET

    Purpose The Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) every year in October for recruitment of Lecturers and Assistant Professors by the State Agricultural Universities and for award of ICAR Senior Research Fellowships.

    Eligibility Candidates who have secured a minimum of 55% marks at post graduation, in any of the specified subjects mentioned in the syllabus of the examination, are eligible for taking the exam.

    Minimum age 21 years and the upper age limit for JRF is 30 years, which is relaxable by 5years for females, SC/ST/OBC and physically handicapped candidates. 3 years age relaxation is also given to the candidates possessing LLM degree. There is no upper age limit for Lecturereship.
