    the manufacturer means it has 80 billion bytes which is not actually 80GB. im sure it says it somewhere on the box.

    1GB = 1073741824 bytes

    80GB = 85899345920 bytes

    80,000,000,000 bytes = 74.5GB

    the 59 available is what you have left to use. the space you are missing may be the result of a backup partition

    It is a recovery partition. Rather than distributing a CD/DVD with the system, they use a part of the hard drive to store the recovery files so if there is any problem you can boot the system to that partition and completely reinstall the system to the way it was when you bought it.

    Probably space on the hard drive taken up by paging files and operating system. The remainder is what you are left to play with.

    there might be some sort of sharing or reconsider ur partitions

    there might be some free space on ur disk

    for better clarifications try contacting ur manufacturer

    although some space is consumed in partitioning but not that much
