That's the freeware version of norton spyware which let's face it, it just for demo pourposes. If you want the real Norton secuirty you'll have to buy it...

If you want good and free spyware protection install add/aware from lavasoft and spybot. They're free and do the job very good.

Norton is better but slows your computer down more. If you need a good free anti spyware just use spybot.

It relies upon which Zone Alarm & Norton products you've. On abode windows you want a firewall, anti-undercover agent ware, anti-trojan, anti-rootkit, anti-virus and anti-spyware software. ZoneAlarm are maximum properly time-honored for his or her firewall product, yet additionally they do anti-virus. Norton are maximum properly time-honored for the "Ghost" backup and fix application, yet they actually have anti-virus. Its perfect in case you do not have overlapping products. the a number of worst anti-virus products are abode windows Defender and Norton Antivirus. more beneficial ones comprise Nod32, Avast! and Avira. Avast! is free for abode use.

Norton would probably pick up more if it was directly from symantec and not provided by yahoo. Symantec loses money if the one from yahoo picks up everything. Freeware is never as good as the full version.
