    54-3x<2x+84

    addin -2x-54

    -5x<30

    dividing by -5 and flippingthe inequality sign

    x>-6

    (x-3)^2=64

    x^2-6x+9=64

    x^2-6x-55=0

    (x-11)(x+5)=0

    x=11 or -5

    1) x = 5 or -5

    2) 4-84=2x+3x

    -80 = 5x

    x = -16

    In the next two questions I think you have made typing errors - please check?

    5) x - 3 = 8 or -8

    x = 11 or -5
