You can use either. I have both cards and never even thought about it or ran into a problem.

you pays a cost for funds advances. the fee is round 3 money. Direct purchases don't have any fee. i exploit Visa in Europe perpetually. The change fee is sweet and it saves wearing funds or embarrassingly stupid vacationer's cheques. you may also take out funds with your economic company card. you'll also pay the money fee. The change fee is about the same as Visa. Take basically one hundred euro in funds to initiate your holiday once you land, then use your Visa for motels/autos and your debit card for funds. one element: once you've a PIN more beneficial than 4 digits, replace it to a 4-digit PIN or you may not be able to apply the cardboard at many machines.

CASH. Everybody takes cash. Get rid of your usury cards.
