Anyone out there downloaded the new Explorer 7? Anyone getting it to work?

Download it yesterday and have had nothing but problems with the thing. SLOW SLOW. Back buttons do not work, can't add my skins, thinks slower than I do! Uninstalled today, yet Microsoft keeps trying to download it again and again. I personally don't want the thing!!! Know of anyway to make this work at least as well as Explorer 6 does? Pretty sure they are going to MAKE us all switch. Know where I can go to let Microsoft know I don't want want it, won't ever want it on my machine? Thanks!!!!!

I don't think it is compatable with some computers. I downloaded it onto my emachines with windows xp and there was a conflict with the big fix program. The repeated attempts by emachines tech staff to resolve the problem deleted an essential dll in xp and I had to do a complete system restore and lost a bunch of stuff. On at least 2 occasions microsoft has tried to automatically update me to ie7 again and I refuse to accept the program. I agree with you, they can keep ie7.

I put it on both of my machines; one is XP, one is a 98. Startup is slower on both. Like the tabbing feature. Dislike the fact that the back and forward buttons only give one option. Both systems are just as stable and run at the same speeds as they were before. Unfortunately, you're gonna have to find a way to make it work, or you will fall behind. My only suggestion, besides asking on line, is to clean your system up and re-install it. Sometimes it's as simple as that. I consider myself lucky. Good luck.

I got it, and had some problems at first, but it seems to be working okay now. However I still prefer E6, but like everything else I'll have to get used to the change.

I downloaded it about a month ago and I had problems - it bogged down my computer over about two days and then it crashed all together. I couldnt even reboot. I had to spend 9 hours that Sunday peicing it back together! I wouldn't reccomend trying it.
