Re: The Departed, a Martin Scorcese film?

In this movie, there is a statement made between Matt Damon and Jack Nicolson that Sigmund Freud once said that the Irish were the only nationality group that could not benefit from pychoanalysis because ..... If you saw this movie and remember that statment - Can anyone tell me if Freud really, really said this.

I'd really, really like to know.

Signed, An Irish lass

Update:

If Freud really said this would anyone know the source such as a thesis, lecture, book, speech where he said that - date - in what context did he say this - any scholars out there -

'The Irish are the only race who are impervious to psychoanalysis.'

-Sigmund Freud quoted in 'The Departed' by Jack Nicholson.

'This is one race of people for whom psychoanalysis is of no use whatsoever.'

-Sigmund Freud's second quote on the Irish.
