A friend of mine told me you can burn dvd's if you have two dvd players long as one records?

Can this be done by connecting them to each other?

You are better off using your computer to make those copies.

If you send your video and audio out from a player to a dvd recorder, yes... depending on what you are trying to record.

If you are recording a dvd that you or someone else made yourself, yes, it will work.

If the dvd you are wanting to record has copy protection (macrovision), the recorder will detect the macrovision signal and it won't work. Picking up the signal will either disable the record function or the recording will be distorted and practically unwatchable.

I don't think it will work because of the copyright protection software on most DVDs. It will record but there will be a fading in/out of the tone and color on the recorded copy.
