Whey powder is made from milk. You know when you get cottage cheese how there are chunky bits and runny stuff? The chunky bits are curds and the runny stuff is whey. Whey is left over when cheese and some other stuff is made and it is used in lots of foods.

Its made from rennet in the cheese making process so uses the lining of a young calf's stomach, so if you don't like that idea like me...don't eat it, but its in lots of food/crisps/snacks. A good suggestion though is get more snack etc, food from Marks & Spencer, i used to hate it but they never use whey powder and use other flavourings instead and only use free-range eggs!

    Hope this helps! :D
