Problem is, he thinks, a husband should not go into cooking at any cost, isnt it male domination?

At the beginning he told, our marrige will be a good lesson for the world & he wont allow any problem arise. He was in a mind to share everything. Now he has got into the usual mindset of man, expecting the wife only should do some particular works. 1. I ask him only to share my work in cooking, dont ask him to cook alone 2. Im a person, who shrinks when even I happen to hear about a slaughter of animal, so Im scared of cooking & eating non veg, so I expect him to atleast cook it for him. But by denying cooking & asking me cooking even non veg for him, I feel him like a cruel person. Im sure he did loads of good things for me. But in this case he behaves very badly. Also he threatens me that he will take a decision of separation if I dont agree to cook him non veg. What can I don here?

The problem I see is that you are vegetarian and he is not. He wants you to do all the cooking including cooking meat for him. He is not respecting your views and you are not respecting his. The problem has now escalated from something small to something threatening your marriage. Time to step back and take a deep breath. At a time when you are not arguing you must tell your husband how you feel about meat and why you do not choose to eat it. This is also the time for you to listen to what he wants. Do not become angry this is a time for discussion and a time to find a way to solve this problem. You guys really need to talk. Good luck and I hope love will find a way.

Sorry to say but he's still in the past as far as relationships go. He thinks a woman should cook. That's not the case. And for him to not take your feelings into consideration is insentive as well.

Calmly explain what you feel about the situation to him. If continues along that path, then he's not worth it. I know that this incident seems petty, but after this incident what else is he gonna throw at you to make you do what he wants.

Take it into consideration. Hope I helped you out.

When I read the first part of your question, I was about to tell you that he is just being a putz. But you clearly have some oddball issues of your own.

Assuming your question is genuine, a hardcore vegetarian and a meat eater cannot be happy together permanently. You must reconcile this. One of you will have to cave or have basically seperate kitchens, which sounds pretty impractical to me.

sharing chores in marriage is indeed part of your contract to be together for all time .

but in your case of cultural differences may tear you apart .

were you aware of that situation before you took your vows ?

I'm not having a shot here -- but -- you just might not be compatible to his expectations --- which in turn is not compatible to yours .

you'll need to sit down and talk about this ; it is , sadly , a little more involved than just getting a bloke into the kitchen .

    good luck .

Maybe you should not be so good at cooking ,catch my drift?

If your dinners start to taste really bad,he may even insist that you never cook at all.I would'nt be with a guy like you're with, but you may be from different culture?

    Marriage is a partnership...

All chores should be done within that partnership... Okay, if one person is better at cooking than the other, then go with your strengths... But not divide duties according to gender...

If that is all it takes to get him to leave, you are better off without him. Don't cook a thing for him unless he helps you. If he wants to eat meat, he can cook that for himself.

Serve him plastic toy food. He never specified that it had to be real food.

He is a chauvinistic pig. Divorce him.
