You can talk about your classes with the people there. You could also try to arrange study meetings too. Most other social functions would be good places to meet people too. You could try volunteering for something too. Good night!

First thing first, you will not get over being shy with an attitde like that! Don't tell yourself you're shy and not good looking...you need confidence! You should get involved in something. It doesn't matter if it's a club at college or a group at church or whatever works for you, but get involved in SOMETHING! It will be easier for you to talk to new people if you're in a situation where you're doing something you like. For example, if you're interested in philosophy then I'm sure there are some kind of reading groups that meet and have discussions. If your college has a greek life maybe join a frat. There has to be something you can join. Also, go to every event your school has. I mean ANY event...you know there are always signs posted talking about different things to go to...GO to them! The more you get out, the more you will meet people. It's okay to be shy. Many girls are attracted to that, but with making good guy friends it might be difficult. That's why finding a club would be easier so you have something in common to talk about. Just learn to take risks and get out there! Good luck!

the guy who revealed earlier me is an fool. i don't recognize of any OTC drugs for melancholy. you'll want to search for a physicians suggestion about your melancholy. I too had topics in my early 20's that I fortuitously grew out of. I chalked it as a lot as hormones, yet I did communicate with a therapist for a at the same time as, which appeared to help. i imagine you'll want to a minimum of communicate inclusive of your household known practitioner, he can commence you off on some thing and considering that you're an grownup, known practitioner affected individual confidentiality is there, so that you wont could be afflicted about the rents making the issue worse. My early 20's were hell as far as social stress went, I continuously felt like i develop into less than a microscope by technique of my friends, now i flow everywhere and everywhere and don't be afflicted about a element, because no individual is wisely worth tormenting your self interior.

Many years ago, younger people were also like you.

I will tell you how to uncover....your problem...and turn it around o.k.

    I am most serious too.

Get involved with a local church.....the people are not out to hurt you, look at you, point the finger....and they will accept you-for-who-you-are!.....Shy girls go to church too you know.

Hang around the local grade schools kids are quick to make friends.

Bring candy, but dont wear a trench coat.

Next year hang around the high school and buy them beer.

You will have more friends than a potato.

Join some kind of study group or extracurricular activity I guess. Or you can meet local people online and it doesnt have to be people to date... it can just be friends- plus you dont have to actually meet them till you're totally comfortable. I wouldn't do either of those things I guess I would just go to a club and talk to peeps and act like I went there with friends but lost them lol. idunno where do you live ill hang with you

I agree with Archangel, try joining some activity or a study group or find yourself a really "social" job.
