Practice Unix commands on windows?

I am new to UNIX and want to practice some commands on my laptop but the problem being that it does not have a UNIX environment. Is it possible to do so with CYGWIN if not could you please suggest some alternate method.

Update:

Could you please recommend which Packages should I install (CYGWIN) sufficient to do the job.

Yeaaa Cygwin is the way to go.

I could not live without it now. So much nicer to have a linux/unix command line in windows than just the windows CMD.

[edit] As a note you could also download VMWARE Server http://www.vmware.com/ which is free and set up a linux installation running in a virtual machine in windows as that would give you a full linux desktop to work on. Just thought I would add that in.

In order of preference, 1) Get a mac, it's built on a core unix foundation. 2) Or install linux on your machine, would be pretty useful and handy. 3) Install cygwin on your windows machine 4) Buy hosting somewhere (e.g. dreamhost, godaddy), ssh into that and practice unix commands (lame solution :P)
