Can a person have a successful career in writing poetry?how?

    Wow, that's a tough question. It seems like most successful poets are dead, and they were not successful while living.

    I would suggest trying to email or mail your poems to a magazine such as Readers Digest or another similar magazine. I'm sure they don't pay premium prices, but you may get some published.

    Try to contact a publishing company and give them a sample of your work. Be open to criticism, and never give up, what one person hates another loves, so try a lot of different people before you decide to retire a particular poem. Good luck, hope to see a book of poems in the future.

    If you put your mind to it, you can do anything, look and Rosetti for instance, she's really succsessful. All you have to do is send a compelation of all the poems you've written to the big publishing companies and if it's good enough, they'll publish it for you............Good Luck
