here are some of my personal favorites, Inca hairless 9-18 lbs great with young children great with condo living minimum grooming great with other dogs not good in cold weather, Xoloitzcuintli 20-31 lbs great with kids condos and hot weather not good with other dogs (also toy version 9-18 lbs),Bichon Frise 7-12 lbs great with kids condos other dogs easy to train moderate grooming required, hope this helps!!

save a greyhound is good. they are obedient live in a cage while you are away make no noise and very loving. You may by adopting one, save the life of a helpless 2 yr. old dog. These dogs race for a year or so and then are put down. There are not enough people to take them as pets.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are affectionate and intelligent, but their exercise demands are suitable for life in a condo. They are small dogs, generally not prone to behavior problems and wonderful companions. I frequently recommend them to families with small homes!

  • I think a Shih Tzu would be perfect for condo living. They are small (9 - 16 lbs. are breed standards), they don't need much exercise, and they have wonderful temperaments.

    Good luck!

    many many options are available.

The most important thing you need to find out first is what you want out of a dog. Since you have a young child, avoid dogs that can be known to be nippy.

Personally I'd move. Why would you want to own property where someone else can tell you what you can and can't have? Live life by your rules...not a condo association.

But good luck to you...I'm sure you'll find a good pooch. But think about adopting from the shelter.

the best advice i can give is to go to the local library and take a book out on dogs you can read up on the breed and the health problems they may have and that way you can decide on which is best.. but if it is a lovable dog you want then go to the pound and get one ... a mixed breed seems to have all the good traits there full breed ancestors have with out the health problems and you will save a life

shih tzus, toy poodles, mini poodles, and cocker spaniels tend to be great for the condos. I have a condo with a teacup poodle and a shih tzu. They are both quiet and calm. Good luck!

Get a dauchshund. They are small, loveable and love open space. they dont shed and they listen to you AS LONG as you show them who is boss, or else they have an attitude. I learned the hard way lol. Good luck with your choice!
