It's because men are immature in so many ways. Being a father is to real for them. 95% of men rather sit and play some sort of video game device than fess up to being a father. This is men of all ages. Its so sad. I also blame mothers. Now a days mothers baby there son's at all ages once again. So it doesnt give them that sense of hey i'm a real man. Nope there still all mommy's little boy.

ex: I was with my boyfriend and our daughter at a shoe store. We are walking and he runs into a friend who was with his mother who was buying him shoes. We walk out the store my boyfriend says to me he has a 2 year old I think and he just got out of jail. OK my question was "WHY IN THE HELL IS HIS MOMMA BUYING HIM SHOES" Thats the problem with all of this boys have never been taught to be men its a repetative pattern and here us mothers are trying to raise our children to the best we can.

Thank goodness my boyfriend is awesome. But I seen some real **** heads out there.

    No remedy!!!

There just scared, men dont think of relationships down the road like women do, ok maybe that was just me. I was very straight and honest with guys I dated. As soon as I realized there was a quality in them i disliked I would tell them, sorry I have a lot of fun with you but I dont see this going any where long term, maybe we can hang out as friends sometimes, a select few became friends with benefits.

Although my best friend is now married to her boyfriend who got her pregnant 8 years ago and took off for a year after he found out, she was in a high risk pregnancy and he feared the child would die and he didnt want to hurt. She forgave him and they have a wonderful marriage today, with their son.

The honest and obvious answer is that they are SELFISH! I know first hand. I was planning to be married, lived with, shared bills with, shared a bed with the man that got me pregnant. He was so excited at first, but once he found out that I had to quit smoking and he wasn't allowed to smoke in the house and we had to pay for the baby and he wasn't allowed to drink once we brought the baby home.....he left me. I was almost 3 months pregnant and he just walked out and left me to take care of myself, my cat, my aparment and all the bils and the baby. He still is not very involved and I'm 6 months almost 7 months on Christmas day, it's a boy and he's not paying attention. I'm naming him myself, everythng is me! Men like this have no heart, have no soul. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, good or bad! I also believe that everything bad that you've ever done will come back to haunt you sooner or later. All of the people that abandon their children will pay!

Not all guys do that. When I became pregnant with my first child I was not married. My son's father stepped right up and took responsibility. He has been a great dad, and even though we decided not to get married, we have remained great friends. Some guys lack maturity. Thry haven't grown up, so how can they step into a fatherhood role? It all depends on the guy.

    Because they are LOSERS!

Happened to me when I got pregnant, It all comes back to bite them in the A** when all is said and done. I get half his paycheck and the satisfaction of telling him no everytime he begs for me back. If he leaves you because your pregnant, you dont want that particular guy in your life anyhow, they will only bring you years of dissapointment for you and your child.

Some guys think they can run away from their responsibilities as a father. Some are under the mentality of "If I don't think about it, it didn't happen". They also might feel horrible about bringing this on someone they love/loved, and they deal with those feelings of guilt by forgetting about them.

To guys they think it is ok because the guys aren't carring the baby for nine months or haing morning sickness. they think it is ok mostly because they don't want to take care of a child.

I don't think they all think it's ok...they are just in a position to bolt if they are not ready to be a dad. they can walk away. we can't. it is expensive and life-changing to have a baby, and if you didn't decide beforehand to do it together (a joint decision to get pregnant) the news could be like a punch in the gut and the first reaction is to bolt. that way, you can pretend like it never happened.

i don't think that they feel it's ok, but they shouldn't be forced to be with someone just because they are pregnant. i would want a man to stay with my just because of the child.

They find it ok because maybe they think they're not ready to be a father and also maybe they're not ready to take care of a child.
