Do you live in a home where the man is the head and what he says goes?

Or is it the opposite or is it about equal? What country do you live in?

Never; it would have to be an equal partnership or nothing at all. I live in the U.S.

We live in the USA. My husband was born here, I was born in Europe. We go by the Bible - the head of the man is Jesus, and the head of woman is man. Women can be very emotional and men can make better decisions alot of times. My husband and I are both pretty calm people and we both have college degrees. We usually discuss any major family decision together. We like each other and respect each other and have only had one disagreement/argument during our marriage and that was during the first month of marriage years ago. If you marry someone, you really need to make sure that they think like you do on all of the important topics such as finances, children (having them and raising them), etc. Do not get married out of lust but rather marry because you like each other and have alot in common. Of course, in my brother's family, his wife makes all the financial decisions and she handles the family money because she is an accountant by profession - but my brother turned this responsiblity over to her, she didn't demand it. If we live by the Bible and its morals and standards, we stay out of a lot trouble. Marry someone you are compatible with and someone who has the same religious beliefs and standards, then if you are a woman - it is a joy and pleasure to be cherished by your man and let him take the lead.

No! And I won't ever live in a house where any one person has all the authority. It's about equals and trying to find what is best for everyone. I'm in the USA.

I live in USA. The man of the house usually just suggests things for me to do and if I don't do it, it's usually no big deal. But he does like being in charge and have that power. It's kinda equal.

    Him: 60%

    Me: 40%

And I love it this way.

My wife's parents are from Cuba. They have lived in the United States for the last 40 years. Her father is DEFINITELY the head of their house. The son is SECOND "in-command." Both my wife and her sister, and their mother, do what-ever the father tells them to do. My wife is 50 years old and still does what her father says to do! Go figure. All controlled by GUILT.

Yeah, my man is the head, but usually gives me equal say. He's the one that works, so financial decisions are his. American living in Thailand.

My man is the head, but not everything he says goes. My daughters and I respect him but when he gets mad sometimes he suggests some messed up plans. But he is a good man, a good planner and above all a good leader. We live in Ohio, U.S.A..

I live in the USA and the only man that told me what to do was my father. If another man tried, he would find out I wear pants too and don't run around in my bare ***.
