Making a slide show with music on a disc?

Question

How can you take regualr pictures and put them on a cd or dvd with music and have the music play while the pictures are showing? I'm wanting to make one for christmas for someone...

Depends on where you want to show them. If you want a DVD that will play on a TV/DVD player, you'll need some DVD authoring software like iDVD, etc. You'll need to scan all of your photos or capture them to video. You need a way to get them into your computer electronically. Then you can arrange and add a music track.

This is a time-consuming process, FYI.
