Movie on TV, in the 70's: pregnant white girl (runaway) and black man (fugitive from law) hide in lighthouse?

When he is shot and killed by the sherriff at the end who assumes he is trying to abduct the girl (though he is really trying to protect her), she says of the black man, "He was my daddy."
