    1. Whatever the compound is, it has to be 100% the same thing or you need a % breakdown of what the different mixes make it up.

    2. Know the Chemical Formula of the compound. Lets take a simple one.... 25 grams of water (H20) 2 Hygrogens and 1 Oxygen

    3. 1 mole = Avogadros number of atoms 6.02 x 10 23rd

    4. 1 mole of Hydrogen = the atomic weight 1 gram

    5. 1 mole of Oxygen = it's atomic wight 16 grams

    To make 1 mole or (6.02 x 10 23rd) number of molecules of water you need 2 grams of Hydrogen and 16 grams of Oxygen = 18 grams

    25 grams of water contains 25 divided by 18 or 1.39 moles
