How does a person permanently delete an address from the IE adddress bar?

I have highlighted and deleted plus backspaced. This is just a momentarily deletion not permanent.

    If you are using Windows Internet Explorer 6:

    Left click on Tools

    Left click on Internet Options

    Left click on Delete Cookies

    Left click on Delete Files

    Left click on Clear History

    Left click on OK

    Close IE then reopen

    If you are using Windows Internet Explorer 7:

    Left click on Tools

    Left click on Internet Options

    Left click on Delete int the Browsing history section

    Left click on the Delete all button

    If you are using Firefox:

    Left click on Tools

    Left click on Clear Private Data

    .

    or

    .

    .

    .

    Left click on Tools

    Left click on Options

    Left click on Privacy

    Left click on Settings

    Check all boxes including Clear private data when closing Firefox

    Left click on OK button

    Close Firefox then reopen.

    If all else fails use My Computer, then go to

    Delete cookies from here where username is your account name

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Cookies

    and here

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

    Delete History from here where username is your account name

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\History

    I use and recommend a freeware program called ccleaner . It makes life much easier. Run it and it will clean out everything, history, address bar, cache, cookies. And best of all it's completely free.
