Can I apply for FAFSA for the spring semester of 2007 now?

I did not apply in the fall because I did not take enough courses in the fall sem. to qualify. Are the applications considered at this time of year?

Yes. You will want to complete the 2006-2007 FAFSA and will need your (and possibly your parents') 2005 Federal tax return. The 2006-2007 year will end June 30, 2007. At the start of the new year, you can file the 2007-2008 FAFSA, but will probably want to complete your 2006 Federal tax return first so it's accuracte. Do not pay to have someone complete the FAFSA---it's free! Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov to complete it.

I'm sorry, but it's way too late now, you should have applied anyway, you don't have to be fulltime to get aid, and even if you got nothing fall semester, they could have given you an aid package for spring semester, or you could have just taken more classes this fall and that'd solve your problems. The fafsa is free anyways and not hard to fill out, you should always so one, "just in case". There's so many people who don't do it b/c they don't think they will get any money when they would have.

I'm not sure if they consider applications this late. A new application for the 07-08 school year comes out on January 1st. Make sure you get it in by Feb 15th for the best chance at aid.

To apply for FAFA in the spring of 2007 I think you will need to have your 2006 federal income tax return completed. Not sure. It may be used for federal income tax return for 2005. If it is used for 200, yes you can apply, if not you will have to complete your 2006 return in early January after you have received all your 2006 tax documents.

Unfortunatly, from what I have read from the FAFSA website, I think all FAFSA applications have ended. ~ Don't take my word for it though.

Go to your colleges bursar's office of financial aid, and ask your question there - you will get a much straighter answer.

You won't get it back in time to recieve very much financial aid. you'd get more if you apply after Jan 2 for next year
