First, eliminate some of the terrible and corrupt governments out there (especially, but not only, in Africa).
Secondly, International minimum wage, set by the poorest nations as applied to traded goods. Obviously this won't solve poverty, but it'll help; by forming a cartel out of the workforce, one is able to draw more funds into the poorest countries.
Third, microfinance. If you have money, you can do this yourself. It involves lending small sums of money, usually to woman (who are more reliable) in order to set up small entreprises.
Four, use your imagination. The OLPC project started in someone's mind. Clockwork radios... The magic phrase is "appropriate technology".
Five, even after all these, you need to wait. The world will slowly industrialise, an as people get richer, they have fewer children, which alleviates another pressure.
