Most printed material in which are generally distributed for any kind of gain will be copyrighted. Yes, you can copyright them. Go to the United States Patent and Trademark office's website at www.uspto.gov for more information. Great question!

it depends what the content is, if it's some original artwork, you can copyright. Trademarks are more for slogans that you would want to protect. You need to register for either, and they are not a guarantee that no one else can use the info, it just makes it more likely that you will win if you sue them. also for trademarks, you should really do a trademark search before you try to register, because if anyone had trademarked it in the past in a similar industry, you will not hold any rights to it.

your best bet is to be sure you do not have direct competition and a good marketing plan so if someone does try to steal your idea you are too big for them to have any impact.
