Does weight lifting make you an inch or 2 shorter?

Like the possibility of a 6'0 dropping to 5'11.......

At a young age it stunts your growth.

I don't know this for a fact, but it would seem that someone who lifted weight standing, quite a bit, could cause spinal compression and thus over time cause themselves to be shorter...

Do some research online and see if you can find any reports or articles on this.

your age probly say more about it than anything.....

as we age our discs in back and knees get thinner

and it can add up to an inch and more

weight lifting usually helps prevent this though, unless your

    developing bad posture
