Well, this is the biggest trouble with people telling others to just go in and edit their registry or msconfig. Something gets taken out that should be there. Do a system restore to a date before you did the registry editing. Click on Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools and System Restore. Pick a date that is bolded, a day or two before this happened. Let the restore run then restart your computer for the changes to take effect. This should restore the missing file.

its not a missing file the answer has a low rating. it got a bunch of thumbs down no need to reformat your hard try. the answer just sucks click on the tiny word show and you can see the answer that hide it because its considered a lousy answer and wont get picked as the best answer
