Are Liberals actualy going to waste their time on trying to make Giuliani look bad over his EX wife?

It's not going to work,.. Maybe they should come up with a conspiracy about him?

OF COURSE they will press Rudy on that issue and try to make him look bad.

Just look what they are still doing to Foley over an email to a young man of legal age.

Clinton, Kennedy, etc. - watch your own back yard liberals.

I haven't noticed any liberals doing this as of yet. I have noticed politicos asking, while discussing his liberal social leanings, if the shabby way he treated his wife will present a problem for him as far as support goes from the conservatives. He may be the only possible Republican candidate the liberals would support, which sort of does beg the question of how the conservatives will deal with his social issue positions. He's an interesting mix and I'll be curious to see how his bid works out for him.

TS - Giuliani will first face primary races against other Republicans, some who object to him because of support of pro-choice and gay rights and some who are simply ambitious. Conservatives will swift-boat Rudy long before liberals need be concerned about the viability of his candidacy.

Rudolph Giuliani is a carpetbagger who has become a multimillionaire profiting from the tragedy of 9/11.

Liberals attacking conservatives is never veiwed by other liberals as wasting time. Conservatives tend to view it as time wasting as there is work than needs doing. I tend to think such things are not a waste of time when a significant goal can be achieved, ie turning an election.

Take a look at the historic campaigns in the 1700 to early 1900's, our "smear" campaigns are tame be comparison.

lets me see - wasted time. What have the republicans done - oh yes billions of dollars and thousands of hours to proof a stain on a blue dress should be grounds for impeachment - and time spend covering up Foley's sexual harrassment of young pages - oh wait, I am not done yet - allllll that time hijacking John Kerry's military career - and ..........and ............and...............

I am not so much reacting to the question as I am by the "holier then thou" attitude attached to it and the answers. AT least be real that democarats and republicans use similar tactics to move their agenda through.

No Christian Republicans will take care of this. Republican primaries are dirty. Remember allegations made by the Bush campaign that McCain had an out of wedlock mixed race child? It cost McCain S. Carolina, and the nomination, and all the mudslinging was all done within the Republican party.

Absolutely not! The Conservatives have so much crap that makes them all look bad ( profiteering, sex scandals, coverups, lies and on and on) that no one really cares about Guiliani and his ex-wife. That's not even a drop in the political bucket.

Democratic liberals have never had it so easy...now our job is to keep it that way.

I really haven't heard about his ex-wife, so I have no idea about that, but he was the best ever against the mafia, organized crime and drug dealers.

He did a fantastic job of cleaning up NYC from all of the above things. I would imagine that he made alot of enemies that way. The mafia, the libs and the drug dealers probably all hate him.

So, maybe his wife was part of the mafia or oraganized crime. I don't know a thing about her.

Yes, many will waste their time on something so insipid.

It's only a matter of time before they DO come up with a conspiracy. I think I heard something about him being the second gunman in the JFK assassination.

Sadly, yes, many will waste their time on this. But the politics of personal destruction will, hopefully, NOT convince the majority of Americans.
