There are free alternatives to PowerPoint, such as: OpenOffice or, if you like online applications, ThinkFree. OpenOffice is an open source office suite, which has applications comparable to Microsoft Office.

There are a number of online web applications. ThinkFree is a Microsoft Office clone, which includes a PowerPoint clone ( It provides 1GB free online storage. All Microsoft Office filetypes (e.g. .doc or .ppt) are supported by ThinkFree and vice-a-versa

The other web application is Thumbstacks (, which is another PowerPoint clone. Thumbstacks can import, edit and export .ppt files.
