    Cathedrals: Reims, Chartres, Strasbourg

    Castles: Chambord, Blois, Chenonceau, Fontainebleau, Vaux le Vicomte, Pierrefonds, Haut-Koenigsbourg, d'If (of Monte-Christo fame)

    Natural geographic sites: Mont Blanc, Rhine, Rhone, Côte d'Azur (the French Riviera), The Normandy beaches, The winter sport resorts of the Alps
