Hilton Head Island, SC Not so much for the public courses, but the private courses are superb. Long Cove, Wexford, Berkely Hall (North and South), Colleton River (Nicklaus and Dye), Belfair (East and West), Hampton Hall, Haig Point, Secession, Oldfield, Palmetto Bluff(May River). And then of course there's Harbour Town. Anyone whos had the pleasure of playing all the courses listed above would undoubtably say the best courses in the US are right here in Hilton Head Island.
