We all have the same goal in mind, there is no white flag here and to say so is very foolish. There should be no phd in that name Al, but then again Bush never should have graduated from college, or been accepted for that matter. The president is changing course due to the pressure. It's what we the people want.
My view on Iran:
Iran wants a stable Iraq just as much as we do. Iran has their own population problems, and the situation in Iraq does not help them. They've said it themselves. Why else would the prime minister of Iraq travel to Iran so eagerly. They can play a major role in stabilizing Iraq, especially with their influence over the shiite population. They just want a share in the influence over Iraq policies(Not the best thing for us, but FAR better than what is happening now). They would never dare try to take Iraq over however, knowing that U.S. missiles would be up their axx in about point 2. As for Syria it's pretty much the same kind of situation yet on a smaller scale.
