Well, I agree education is a major point, However, I disagree that it is a "paramount" to eliminate a poverty free world. Unfortunately, I do not believe there can be a poverty free world, but ways to make it less poor (hard to handle, but something to ponder). Personally, I feel that it is up to the governments to help the people in their country, also to help developing nations in their struggles. This is where it all begins, yet in Canada, many people are living below the poverty line. How can this be? Well, easily said, harder to fix, but I believe mismanagement and fraud are key points. I have long wondered why someone who is on welfare or social assistance can have a better life than I? some are very deserving and need help, while others take advantage, working "under the table" or making kids for the sake of earning extra money and staying home not being productive. This type of helping the poor is reversal and just adding to the problem. People need welfare and help when they truly need it! You give the help to the right people when they need it and move on to help the next. Wouldn't it be better to help 5 people in a year that just 1 for ten years?
Now the major problem is poverty in the world in full. This is an area that I cannot give an easy answer. I guess, help your neighbors who cannot help themselves to the absolute best that you can do! I am not rich, blue collar and struggling, but I try to help others with what I can when I can. A quick donation to a local food bank, a donation to a worthy charity, drop a few dollars in the jar at the grocery store of a family that needs help for emergencies, anything that you can do small scale will help others on a big scale! If you are in the position of hiring staff, give someone the chance when nobody else will, you would be surprised on what they can do!
Very hard question not easily answered, but these are my thoughts, I am very controversial, but this is a controversial question. Take care!
