do you always feel the babys head once you have began to dilate?

I just got checked this morning and I am 1 cm dilated and 60% effaced at 37 weeks. The Dr said she could feel the babys head. Is this a good sign that labor is close or is this normally the case once you are dilated?

Usually means the baby has dropped into position and is waiting so nicely for you to go into labor so he or she can come on out :) Doesnt mean you will have him in the next few days though. But hes in the position :)

Usually to start dilating the babys head is down in the birth canal and this is a good sign instead of the baby still being high up. You could stay like this for the next 3 wks. or you could be 2cm on your next visit.

Good Luck and now starts the waiting game.
