How can I legally copy and sell previously aired tv shows, news reports and sports events?

Is there any kind of TV show, music video, news report or sports event that does not require any permission to be reproduced and sold?

No, they are all copyrighted, and copying them to be resold is a violation of copyright law and is illegal.

You may legally do it by requesting permission from them and getting approval, often securing such comes with a fee. If they give approval, make sure it is in wriitng and that the person granting approval has the legal right to do so. I have received permission simply be emailing persons directly, but never on anything like a news show, always something small.

Any of the items you wish to do for free may be done if they have no copyright. Also, you need to read the details of the copyright. Some allow for NO copying, others do for schools and other entities. If they have an allowance, they may also mandate some form of communication with them.

only ones that are not copywrited which is not a whole lot. your better off either getting the legal rights from the company. You could just do it but then your looking at jail time so best advice go legit

it is copyright infringement but its happens all the time. sell it on ebay or some other off brand site that has auctions. with the technology out there to do this--there is no stopping it.
