What is it, or where is it, or who is it that you know and that almost anyone else does not know?
Can you know that lovingly,
can you write about it from the perspective of someone who does not know it,
can you show the reader whatever it takes until s/he comes to know what you know?
If 'yes', then do that.
Having done that, be ready to love it on even-numbered days, healing it and adding to it to make it more entertaining, more readable, more whatever it needs.
On odd-numbered days you have to be cold, and cut mercilessly, and revise for punctuation, grammar, clarity, length....
When your mind is numb, when the very thought of this story nauseates you, it's time to start submitting...and submitting....and submitting. Every rejection is one of the thousand steps to success, collect them proudly! Every revision request is a new way to see your story, to gain a new perspective, a new writing project to stretch yourself with, a new way to enhance your ability.
Whether the story publishes or not, you will learn, grow, and become able to write something that WILL sell!
