Why does Allah use cheap "carrot/stick" methods to get Muslims to "fight"?

Quran 4:74 “let those fight in the cause of allah who sell the life of this world for the hereafter. to him who fighteth in the cause of allah,- whether he is slain or gets victory - soon shall we give him a reward of great (value). http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/004.qmt.html

A reward is promised for fighting for Allah, whether you are "slain" or have victory. Why would Allah openly offer this afterlife-bounty, I mean, doesnt that take away the test? The Jihadist is doing it for a reward, like a bounty hunter, not necessarily out of a love for Allah. Wouldnt it make more sense for Allah to just see who is willing to fight for him and get slain or succeed in the slaughter of unbelievers without promising him rewards?

Ok, call me crazy, but this looks exactly like the cheap human carrot-stick methods to get people to do things...I dont see how a God could be involved in something so gimmicky.

The Quran is the hate mongers hand book would you expect it to contain anything less than gimmicky stuff, it's soul purpose is to spread hate and discontent, to rid the world of Christians.

This question should be worded differently. Allah didn't write the Koran, like Yahweh didn't write the Torah, and God didn't write the Bible. Men wrote these texts, and their personal prejuidices, fears, biasts, and perspectives are scattered throughout. Religious extremists find passages like the one in your question and use them to influence the actions of impressionable worshippers. A reward is offered in every religion, and all these religions ask in return is behavioral obedience on the part of the worshipper. Islam and the Koran are no different than Judaism, Christianity, or Hinduism in offering an afterlife reward for obedience. The 'carrot' that you speak of is the possibility of a pleasant afterlife. Basically, this is an exploitation of the fear surrounding the mystery of death. I for one, prefer to look at life as the carrot - which can be savored or spoiled.

It is not cheap carrot/stick method. Those who fight in the way of Allah do it out of love for Him. Out of strong faith in Him. Even though they are rewarded a huge reward if they fight in the way of Allah (to spread out peace, to fight protecting another Muslim, family, religion, etc.), a persons' intention counts the most in Islam.

Just like a teacher bribes students of a promised reward if they do good, it's sort of like that. The teacher wants the students to study, etc., for that reward.

Allah (SWT) wants us to have that patience that the reward in the next life is better than in this one and that we should live simply. But still you won't find a Muslim who does not live and struggle out of love for Allah.

So your perception is wrong on that!

It sounds like the Christian offer to crusaders. Governments are, you might notice, far less generous.
