We have a 6 month old puppy that is always rough housing our neighbors dog and we cant ever get them to stop!?

We have a 6 month old mini shcnauzer and whenever our neighbors dog an adult mini shcnauzer comes over they always tumble and nag on each other the entire time and we can never get them off each other they are both girls. Sometimes we are even afraid the neighbors dog is going to bite our puppies neck, do you know how we can control this or at least help their relationship get kinder to eachother? Also when we visited our family they brought up their italian greyhounds who are the same size as the puppy and they never nagged on eachother at all they just chased eachother. What's up with this?!!??

    1. It's a puppy.

    2. It's what puppies do.

    3. Get them both spayed (if they aren't) to curb aggression.

    4. Walk them together.

    This is normal behavior!

There is an old joke where a guy goes into a doctor's office. He waves his hand inf front of the doctor and says Doc it hurts when I do this. The doctor replied by saying don't do that.

Your puppy is going to want to play! It's what they do. She'll eventually grow out of it. I've always thought of Schnauzers as pretty laid back dogs.

Many dogs will bother or play with their own breed. your puppy could be trying to play but it is truly just annoying the neighbors dog. Thats how our labs and shepherds have been they only stick with their own kind. especially one shepherd we had she would be more dominating and aggresive towards other german shepherds. Plus schanuzers are very dominating dogs if your not careful.

They LOVE to play! Pups just won't stop having fun. Your dog might mellow out when he's older, but as long as the playing isn't violent, you should reinforce it. As for the chasing, my dog does it. It's like tag.
