You have to go the the Parque de buen retiro. It's like NYC's Central Park. Near there you can visit the Prado museum and the plaza de independencia. La Puerta de Sol is considered the center of the city and you can walk to many other places from there, for example the Plaza Mayor, and the Palacio Real. You should visit the Museo del Jamon and order a Jamon Iberico or Jamon Serrano sandwich! For night life, the clubs are the best. I recommend Kapital which is right by the Atocha station and the Museo de la reina sofia - it's a 7 story club that opens at 11pm. If you want to check out a bull fight, go to Las Ventas and check it out. I hope this helps!
