on a 4gb ipod nano,if you have a 4 min song on it does it count as 4 songs (like every min counts as 1 song)?

    It's not the length of the song, it the size of the file. A 4 minute song stored at 128 kbps will be smaller than the same song at 144 kbps or 160 kbps. The storage capacity of most iPods and other MP3 players is given if every song is stored at 92 bkps, which isn't very high quality. I rip mine usually at 160, and I get almost 400 songs on my 4gb Zen. At the very least, don't rip at less than 128 kbps.
