how does the Nintendo wii allow you to play nintendo games from the past?

by that i mean games for super nintendo and n64

    By paying points on Wii Shop Channel you can get points to buy classic game. Points can be bought with a credit card or gift certificate. You can use you points for game from N64, Super Nintendo, adn as far back as Sega Genisis adn the NES. You download the games on Wii Shop Channel

    The Nintendo Wii will be compatible with Wii games and Game Cube games none of the other consoles you have mentioned there will be supposrted as they are catridge consoles. However that is not to say that Nintendo will do CD versions of the older games in the future.

    first, you need one of those wii cards they sell for about 25 bucks.

    then, you go on your channel and go to the browser (Internet in the wii) and use the code and its like buying songs for your ipod using itunes, you just buy games until your card's value runs out.
