Does anyone know where you can buy a machine that shaves deli meat really thin?

I am not really looking for an Idustrial size one maybe something I can keep at home?

You can try William Sonoma or even Sears Dept Store, or maybe Macy's. I know I've seen them. Some family owned Deli shops sell such items too.

Any good slicer like this: <http://www.giftswami.com/gg9008g.html>

will do the job, but they can run from $100 to WAY up.

The secret to getting those 'wafer-thin' slices is temperature. If you put the meat into the freezer until it is hard (stiff) but not frozen like a brick, you can achieve some pretty incredible thinness with a good, sharp knife!

I guess it depends upon how much slicing you're going to do!

    Best wishes!

There are shops that cater specially for people who own restaurants and deli's ...or people who just love to cook. And their products (knives, pots, pans, utensils, everything) are usually of better quality than what you'll find at regular stores.
