Some doctors will use a BMI standard. Others require 60+ pounds overweight. Your doctor will have his/her own guideline.
You can jumpstart without pills if you follow the Kimkins diet. A membership is way less than one month's prescription ... and you lose your appetite in 3-5 days, naturally.
Here's a girl who lost 93 lb in a few months: http://30-in-30.blogspot.com
If you decide to go with pills, have a backup plan because you can't take them forever. If you return to your old food choices, you'll return to your old weight.

Hi there -
I'm not a doctor, and I don't know how much weight you would need to lose to get prescribed. But my mom tried this similar product and you don't need prescription for it. I just emailed her and she said it's been working great. It looks like they're offering a free trial offer so it may be something you could give a shot to see if it works for you.
Hope it helps!

thers always a plateau when you try to lose alot of weight everybody gets it but they always make it past a really quick way to lose weight is to cut sugar and salt(a really hard thing to do) from your dietand it really works
