how old would you have to be to work at a library?

    You would have to talk to the library you're interested in.

    I got a job at my local library when I was 16 (many years ago), which was the youngest they would hire.

    Where I live now, the people working at the library are all government employees and have to pass the civil service exam. There are no teens working there.

    They do have many teen volunteers, though. Actually since the local high schools have community service requirements, the teen volunteer positions at the library are very competitive--it's the first choice for many people.
