What are the means to achieve contentment?

In the present day world we come across more people who are short of contentment despite significant achievements. Restlessness is visible in all walks of life. Even in matrimonial ads a partner seeks is achiever. All these terms are relative in nature. Is lack of contentment is leading to miseries in human life?. If so how to deal with it? While dealing this discussion the possible scenario is confusion. For instance quest to know some thing asks for insatiability. If one is content with one learns, or thinks that learned sufficiently that could be end of learning. Same holds good with creativity. Also contentment and creativity will not go hand in hand. What makes a person to conquer the tallest peaks such as Everest, deepest trenches such as Mariana ( Challenger's depth). Those who can not climb can always go to peaks by other means and feel it. One need not go to depths of oceans but can send instruments to measure it and see the same while enjoying the currents on top.

You can be content and still strive to meet the goals you set for yourself whatever they might be. To me, contentment means excepting the way you chose to live your life. If you love adventure and love meeting challenges such as climbing MT. Everest, than you should be content in the knowledge that your living your dreams. Contentment is excepting things and people, including ones self, for what and who they are. Except your achievements and never quit. Laying down and quiting is not contentment, in fact most people who are not active are anything but content. The most content people I know are the ones who are still striving to live life to it's fullest.

If we define discontentment as stubborness of personal subjective idealism, then contentment is flexiblity and honest self feedback.

In simple terms, one keeps doing and going for what he/she have always thought will bring content, but it never does.. and they keep going for it.

So who is responsible? The system of life, or the agent who fails to understand it?

Well , I'm content to just give you a simple answer.

Don't expect or require too much in life.

Then be happy when nothing much happens.

Find enjoyment wherever you find it.
