I would not classify that a secret to success except in the mind of the person using that as an excuse to not be responsible for their choices in life, whether good or bad.

Any person who can accomplish such a thing does not have much emotion or feeling in their life. It is a way for them to get on with their life by blaming others. In their minds, most of the time this can work because they can shut out the real reasons for their failures.....mostly themselves.

However, once in awhile, they do realize that they alone are to blame for their mistakes and they probably will refuse to accept it.

    Who would you blame?

This is a complex question because I see two sides to it. Perhaps because I have had a very dear friend who I believe has every right to blame another not for his failures, but for scars that were left from the past that now influence his actions today. I don't think it brings success to him to blame another. I don't believe it is a "real secret" either. It just "is."

However, I feel there were never be 'success' when blame is placed on anyone. "Blame" means that someone is resentful. If someone is resentful..... then the entire experience left no success. The entire experience should be considered a failure for all parties. Forget "blame" and focus on what led up to the failure so that it cold be prevented the next time.

As your question is written, I sincerely doubt that anyone would ever feel success if they failed.... and if they could only feel they accomplished something by putting the blame on another.

If you want to be successful you must step up and assume responsibility for your failures.

Failures are usually pretty good teachers that assist you in achieving success.

Passing the buck, thinking that somebody else is to blame, is a good indication that you will be a failure.

Actually it is knowing to blame yourself for your failures. You should be able to take control and succeed and if someone fails at something like a subordinate failed at something then you have yourself to blame for not being a good superior, something was lacking.

There are exceptions though, but you shouldn't blame everything on someone else.

  • Successful people never pay attention to their failures. They know

who caused them and they learn from that and go on.

If Edison had dwelt on his failures. we would still be using candles

to read by. There would be no computers. And this forum

    would not exist.

the secret to success is knowing your faults and failures but also knowing how to fix them.

No, it's learning from your failures and building on that knowledge, taking responsibility for the direction your life takes.

No! It's far better to know how to take responsibility for your failures and to APOLOGIZE SINCEREY for them... being a perpetual victim, in the long run, hurts yourself most of all.
